The Kidz in Caledon campaign of Caledon Community Services (CCS) is trying to make the summer a happier time for local children in crisis.

In support of that effort, seven local restaurants will be running a dish and drink promotion until Aug. 31, with proceeds going to Kidz in Caledon.

The campaign is currently $18,000 short of the $40,000 target to ensure all the Kidz in Caledon receive the crisis supports they need, CCS reported.

Savour the Flavour of The Caledon Community will last a little more than a month, and will be an opportunity to provide crisis support to Kidz in Caledon.

The participating businesses are Cafe Italia, Atlantis Fish and Chips, The Angry Tomato, Cora’s Breakfast and Lunch, Ayyy Chihuahua, Crabby Joe’s Tap and Grill and Mr. Greek Express.

There will be a launch party at Cafe Italia this Saturday (July 24) from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m.
