Heritage foundation will have speakers

The Caledon Heritage Foundation will be presenting three speakers in its 2010 Speaker Series.

The first will be Feb. 9 at 7 pm. at the Caledon Community Complex in Caledon East. The speaker is Tony Jenkins who has considerable experience in both the rehabilitation, restoration and adaptive re-use of log homes and barns, and timber frame buildings. He has worked here in Caledon; as well as coast to coast in both Canada and the United States.

Admission is $10, or $5 for members. Refreshments will follow.

The second speaker in the series will be Dr. John Carter, who will be speaking on early education and the building of schools. The presentation will be at Inglewood Community Centre May 4 at 7 p.m.

The third speaker will be Dr. Ronald Williamson, archaeologist, who will provide an evaluation of aboriginal artifacts found in Caledon. He will be speaking Nov. 4 at the Foundation’s annual general meeting at St. James Anglican church hall, in Caledon East.
