Caledon’s first game of the round robin exhibition series against Burlington would turn out to be a tight affair. The Caledon boys faced fierce competition before edging out their opponents 1-0 on a Ryan Machado goal midway through the match.

Caledon went on to face the Milton Magic in their second round robin game, in what was a more offensiveoriented match. After Caledon jumped out to a 3-0 early lead, Milton battled back to trim the lead to 3-1 late in the game. Caledon would respond with two more goals on their way to 5-

victory, and guarantee themselves a spot in the final.

However, before the final would take place, Caledon would have to face local powerhouse Erin Mills Green in the final game of the round robin. Caledon kept the game close, aware that they would likely have to meet Erin Mills again in the final. Erin Mills would jump out to a quick 2-0 lead before Caledon’s Connor Balzan converted a Marco Costanza kick-in with a farpost header to cut the lead in half. Erin Mills would add one more late goal to defeat Caledon 3-1, and guarantee their own spot in the final against Caledon.

In an exciting final, Caledon and Erin Mills would meet again. Thanks to tight defensive marking by midfielder Daniel Logozzo, and stellar goal keeping by Tyler Jackson, Caledon managed to keep the game very close, and earn a 0-0 tie through regulation time. The final game was now set to be decided by penalty kicks. Jackson would make the only save in penalty kicks, while Caledon’s Meharjot (MJ) Dhanjal, Matteo Marini, Bikramjit Dhaliwal and Vito Sica would all convert their opportunities, before Caledon defender Meharlal (ML) Dhanjal secured the victory by scoring on the final kick.

The Caledon ‘99 Boys’ team would like to thank their sponsor, BASF for the generous support this season.
