Student seeking help to do humanitarian work in Ghana

My name is Énya Robbins and two years ago my life drastically changed after a high school trip to a developing country named Nicaragua.

In both 2007 and 2008, our mission was to help build a school within the community in which we stayed, as well as have the moving experience of living in solidarity with the poor. Since then, I couldn't help but discover a profound interest in immersion living and solidarity work in developing nations.

Through my experience in traveling to Nicaragua it has brought me to a deeper awareness of the global struggles for social justice and education.

Since I graduated from Robert F. Hall Catholic Secondary School, I have been accepted to participate in a One World Global education program to Ghana, Africa for an eightmonth volunteer work placement, working with HIV/Aids education and human rights issues which focus on those who have been denied access to a life of choices.

This is a truly amazing opportunity, but being a graduate student working a part-time job, I am in great need of assistance to live out this dream. I would greatly appreciate whatever sponsorship you could afford and be delighted to a give a presentation or write an article or a newsletter on your request.

One World is a non-profit organization with a charitable tax receipt number; therefore, donations are tax deductible. I feel participating in this program will forever change my perspective on life and ways of living. It is also my hope that my new ways of living will positively influence others around me.

In peace and solidarity, Énya M. Robbins, Bolton Cell — (416) 768 4658
