The weekend's Caledon Fair offered plenty of chances to learn a bit about agriculture. This wasn't a real cow, but Katie Allen, 4, of Bolton was learning just how hard it can be to milk one. Captain Jason Everett was leading members of the Incorporated Militia of Upper Canada in their salute to the fair-goers Saturday. They had also set up a re-enactment of a camp from the War of 1812. Coulter Limebeer, 13, was named Junior Ambassador of the Fair. The petting zoo was a popular attraction for the youngsters at the Fair, and the kids were always welcome if they had food, as Dylan Boyd, almost 3, of Brampton learned Hermes Teixeira of Brampton entertained with his Elvis routine John Davis of Davis Feed and Farm Supply represented his family Saturday as he officially opened the Fair. There were a number of young cyclists taking part in Saturday morning's Fair Parade. Haley Knox of the Hoof Beat Outriders was keeping her balance on Razz. Members of the Hall Division of the Caledon Agricultural Society have been saving their pennies all year. The result of their Pennies for Teddies effort was 64 Teddy bears. Brenda Hyatt of the Hall Division presented them to Jo-Anna Lenz of Caledon Community Services (CCS). The bears will be used in the CCS Crisis Support program.
