Troop coming to Forster's

Forster's Book Garden will be presenting The Concerned Kids, a puppet troop performing free at the store's grand reopening June 27.

Parents and teachers will appreciate the messages presented and kids will enjoy watching and interacting with the life-sized puppets.

The Concerned Kids present a creative way to teach youngsters about social issues like bullying and school safety, substance abuse, violence, gangs and prejudice, multiculturalism, diversity, bereavement and living with cancer. Each program provides a stimulating and unique way of discussing each topic.

Interactive puppetry is an excellent medium by which to reach young people because the participants are very comfortable with the puppets and not threatened, as they may be with adults.

They will be at Forster's grand re-opening June 27 from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. at 55 Healey Rd., Unit 4.
