Terry Fox runs at the local schools turned out well

Friday was a busy day at several local schools in Caledon, as staff and students took part in Terry Fox Runs. The Grade 5 students organized the Terry Fox walk at Caledon Central Public School this year with a little help from their teachers Mrs. Arcuri, Ms. Kemeney and Mr. Fischer. The walk followed an assembly, which included choral readings, letters to Terry's family about how he has affected them, and the singing of a theme song that was written last year. During the walk, some of the students and staff wore red and white. The school raised about $1,932.35. Pictured here are some of the Grade 5 students beginning the walk.
Staff and students from Ellwood Memorial Public School in Bolton were making their way around the back fields of the school in their run. They raised about $6,500.
