Caledon Cavaliers' Notebook

Sideline report: Notable absences from the game were fly-half Nicole Probert (knee injury) and eight-man Jacey Murphy, who was representing the U-20 Team Canada squad against England at Appleby College later that evening.

Caledon's Player of the Match went to Riedler for her hard play and determination on the field at both ends. The team also recognized MacCormack for her open-field pressure and tackles, as well as Haddow for disrupting the ball on Brock scrums.

Women's Premier B playoffs: The Senior Women rugby team finished tied for fourth in the standings with a 4-5 record and 20 points. They now travel to the Ajax Wanderers Saturday for the first-round of the playoffs. When the Cavs last traveled to Wanderers Rugby Park July 5, it ended with Ajax handily winning 34-0, but Caledon were down several players.

Junior Cavs: The U-19 Caledon Cavs team (1-3) has their last home game on Wednesday at 7 p.m. in Palgrave against Orillia, while their last regular season game is July 30 against Barrie (0-4) at the Barrie Sportsplex.
