ATHLETES OF THE WEEK

Mayfeild Piper McCutcheon McCutcheon, 15, is the captain and a sweeper on the junior girls' soccer team, which is undefeated on the season at 6-0. The team took home gold last Thursday at a tournament at the Hersey Centre in Mississauga when they beat Mississauga in the finals. The Grade 10 student also is part of the snowboarding club at Mayfield. She plays rep soccer with the U-16 Caledon Coyotes. She lives in Caledon East with her parents Don and Arlene McCutcheon.
Humberview Jonathan Batten Batten, 16, is the goaltender for the Huskies' varsity boys' lacrosse team, which currently has a 1-3 record. The Grade 10 student was essential in his team's first victory of the season against Central Peel at home, 6-5, May 13. He plays lacrosse with the Caledon Bandits and the Brampton Excelsior and hockey with the Caledon Hawks. He lives in Bolton with his parents Mike and Susan Batten.
Robert F. Hall Adam Farina Farina, 18, is the captain of the varsity boys' rugby team, which is currently 2- 1-1 on the season. The eight-man/flanker helped his team defeat St. Marguerite d'Youville, 24- 7, on the road May 13. The Grade 12 student also is involved with the snowboarding club at the school. He also snowboards, skateboards, and participates in BMX in the community and did play house league hockey in Bolton for nine years. He lives in Bolton with his parents Vince and Angela Farina.
