Mayfield
Aime Sheppard
Sheppard, 17, is a dedicated Maverick athlete who has competed in four different sports at Mayfield this year. Currently she is a flanker for the forwards on senior girls' rugby team, which is enjoying a 2-0 regular season record and have impressively not yet allowed a try. The team has also placed third in two tournaments, the first at Trent University April 8 and the second at Pocock Secondary School April 18. The Grade 12 student is also on the rowing team, which will have their first race of the season at the Mother's Day Regatta. She has also played flag football and was on the Nordic ski team at the school, as well as apart of the Mayfield Athletic Association. In the summer she plays for the Brampton Rugby Club and in the fall she intends to study at McMaster for humanities with aspirations of playing on their rugby team. She lives in Cheltenham with her parents Paul and Kira Sheppard.

Humberview Stephanie Marr
Marr, 18, placed second at ROPSSAA for archery in the girls' Olympic recurve category last Wednesday (April 30). The Grade 12 student will be competing at OFSAA for archery May 14 and 15 in Richmond Hill. This is the first time the archery program has been run in years, after her father Neil Marr was brought in to help coach the team. She also is a member of Archers of Caledon Club and lives with her dad in Caledon East.

| Robert F. Hall Jeremy Proctor Proctor, 17, has been playing brilliantly as the goalie for the Wolf Pack's senior boys' soccer team, who are enjoying a 3-0 start to the season. The Grade 12 student has posted three shutouts in those starts, with latest a 1-0 victory over St. Thomas Aquinas last Wednesday (April 30). He also has played badminton and football this season for Hall. The Caledon East resident also plays football for the Brampton Bulldogs of the OVFL(Ontario Varsity Football League) and lives with his parents Larry and Margaret Proctor. |
