OPP remind you to 'Lock it or lose it' in Police Week

The week of May 11 to 17 is Police Week in Ontario.

A professional can steal your vehicle in just 30 seconds. A vehicle with an unlocked door or an open window is an easy target. Protect your vehicle from theft. • Always roll up your vehicle's windows and lock the doors when you park your car. • Park in a well-lit area. • Never leave valuables in plain view. • Never leave your car running and unattended. • If you have a garage, use it and lock the door as well as your vehicle.

Caledon Auxiliary members will be conducting a Lock It or Lose It campaign this coming Wednesday (May 14) during the evening.

The officers will check vehicles left in large retail parking lots within Caledon, to ensure that drivers have left their vehicles locked with no personal items of value left in plain view within the vehicle.

Remember Lock It or Lose It.
