Caledon dinner and wine experience is launch of annual fund-raiser by CCS A dining and wine experience is being planned next month, in support of Caledon community Services (CCS). Taking place May 23 at Glen Eagle Golf and Country Club, Perfect Pairing: A Caledon Dinner and Wine Experience will attract a very discerning audience and will help to support the CCS Transportation Program which continues to be the "gateway" to all services in the community for many seniors and disabled. At only $90 per ticket, this is seen as an exceptional value. The evening's dinner will be prepared by chef and rising star Ian Thompson. Your ticket includes an exquisite five-course meal, paired with particular wines for each course. Your ticket is inclusive of all taxes and gratuities and also provides you with a chance to get a home dinner for 10 prepared by the Master Chef himself. And for after dinner entertainment try your hand at the blackjack tables. The CCS Transportation Program is extraordinary, with almost 30,000 rides annually to seniors and those with disabilities who would otherwise be cut off from the community's commerce and services. CCS Transportation is the lifeline to thousands of people in the community who are too easy to forget in an enormously large geographical area that has no public transportation. CCS wheelchair buses and volunteer drivers are the first line for many families, friends and neighbors who need to get to dialysis, medical appointments, day programs, weekly shopping and/or regular visits with their families. The CCS Transportation Program is truly a vital service for without accessibility, there is nothing. Along with Glen Eagle Golf and Country Club, CCS would like to thank its first sponsor, McGillion Transport, along with media sponsors. A number of sponsorships are still open. Call Faith Orlando at Caledon Community Services today on how you can make a difference. Be sure to come out and be a supporter while enjoying a sumptuous dinner. This event will sell out fast, ensuring that CCS and Caledon continues to "help people help themselves." For inquiries, call Faith Orlando at Caledon Community Services at (905) 951-2300 or (905) 584-9460, ext 222. For ticket purchases, call Sonia Travica at CCS, ext 200. |
