Community 'Green Days' at Home Show

During April and May, Peel Region will once again host a series of Green Days at shopping centres and community events in the area, including the Caledon Home Show in April.

These interactive outreach events will give residents an opportunity to speak with staff and learn more about Peel's Organics Recycling Program.

"Last year, following the launch of the Organics Recycling Program, the Region hosted several Green Days, which were very well received by residents," commented Dave Gordon, manager of waste planning for the region. "Now that we are entering the second year of the program, we would like to congratulate residents for their great efforts and encourage everyone to take part in the program."

Peel staff will have an organics recycling booth set up at each Green Day event. Residents can interact with staff and learn about the materials used in the Organics Recycling Program, such as the green bin, kitchen container, various bin liners, and examples of what items are accepted and are not accepted in the program.
