Police investigate Caledon East robbery

Caledon OPP are looking for a suspect in connection with a reported robbery at a gas station on Airport Road in Caledon East Thursday night.

Police report a male suspect, described as a teenager, wearing a balaclava over his face entered the station's office area brandishing a knife and demanded money from the male who was sitting in the office.

When the victim told the suspect that he was not working and did not have any money, the suspect reached down and took the victim's cell phone that was on the table.

The suspect left on foot, and was last seen walking to the back of the gas station building. He is described as a white male, five feet eight to five feet 10 inches in height, 16 or 17 years of age and was wearing a black hoodie and a balaclava.

Investigating officers would like to speak to anyone who was in or around the area during the time frame of this crime. Anyone with information is asked to contact Caledon OPP, Detective Steve Coburn at (519) 927-3041 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
