Speaker can help you work closer to home

Are you interested in speaking with someone about your career dreams and goals? Would you like assistance in finding work with a local employer?

Jobs Caledon will host a presentation, entitled Job Developing in Caledon, this coming Monday (April 14), from 10 until 11:30 a.m.

Ryan Leworthy, job developer from the YMCA Brampton Employment Centre, will explain details of their placement program and its eligibility requirements. Leworthy has been working in the field of employment for seven years, being at his current position as Job Developer for YMCA for six months.

He is currently at Jobs Caledon once a week to assist local residents with full-time job placement. As a job developer, he works with employers and potential employees to find a suitable match. Employers that are hiring Targeted Wage Subsidy participants will receive 50 per cent subsidy of the wages for up to 16 months.

"Our program is a great opportunity to get help to promote yourself to local employers and enhance your skills on the job," Leworthy stated.

Find out what the YMCA's program can do for you by booking your seat today! Phone Jobs Caledon at (905) 951-2300 or (905) 584-9460, ext. 216.
