Caledon Scouts, Optimist Club and Knox United Church hosted Earth Hour in Caledon village
In a last-minute effort, an Earth Hour event, which included stargazing, hot chocolate, sparklers and a bonfire, was put together at Knox United Church in Caledon village Saturday night. Steve Hayward of the Caledon Lion's Club, who constructed a light switch the night before, and Octagon Club president Hillary Craiggs, got ready to shut off the lights as 8 p.m. rolled around. Once darkness fell, Liam McLaughlin,5, Mark Ruth, 9, Jonathan McKay, 8, and Connor McLaughlin,6 of Caledon village were handed sparklers (top right).
