Grade 5 students organize Earth Hour at James Bolton
Last Thursday, the lights at James Bolton Public School were turned down, and students participated in activities which did not require electricity. A group of Grade 5 youngsters, who spearheaded the school's Earth Hour initiative, visited classrooms to talk about climate change. The students also prepared announcements about caring for the planet on the school's intercom system.
The commitee organizing the school's Earth Hour event included students (front row) Simon Quann, Hana Knill, Jennifer Li, Sarah Wylie, (back row) Adrien Hopkins, Karina Dywanski and Matthew Mascarenhas. Mme. Belle-hopkins helped them with their environmental efforts.
