Mayfield

Robbie Mair

Mair, 17, scored two goals and added an assist during the senior boys' hockey team's 4-1 victory over Our Lady of Mount Carmel SS in the ROPSSAA Tier 1 finals at the Power Aid Centre in Brampton March 6.The Maverick team is now heading to OFSAA in Ottawa April 2 to 5. The Grade 12 student also plays lacrosse at school, as well hockey with the Caledon AA Hawks and lacrosse with the Brampton Excelsiors. He lives in Cheltenham with his parents Rob and Sharon Mair.

Humberview

Adamo Tersigni

Tersigni, 15, was on the Huskies swim team. At ROPSSAA Feb. 20 he won two silver medals in the 100 and the 200-metre individual medleys (im) and a bronze in the 100-breast stroke. At OFSAA March 4 and 5 he placed 14th in the 100 im and 16th in 200 im. Both tournaments were at the Etobicoke Olympium in Toronto. The Grade 10 student also swims with the Vaughan Aquatic Club in Woodbridge and recently placed sixth overall in the100-m breaststroke in a provincial tournament. He lives in Caledon with his parents Joe and Lisa Tersigni.

Robert F. Hall

Jennifer Yakimishyn

Yakimishyn, 18, founded the figure skating team at Hall this year. At the fourth annual Skate Canada Western Ontario High School Skating competition in Aylmer March 4, the team placed third out of about 30 schools. She competed in solo, interpretive and a team event with five elements. The next competition is at the Skate Canada Eastern Ontario Section Trillium Lakelands District High School Figure Skating Invitational Festival competition in Oshawa April 1. The Grade 12 student skates out of Bolton and lives with her parents Josie and Randy Yakimishyn.
