Peewee Lightning win a 'squeaky' one
The Caledon peewee Lightning faced the Brampton Bombers last Tuesday evening. Caledon ended up winning the hard-fought game 4-3.

Caledon peewee Lightning Defenceman Mitch Lovell was helping protect goaltender Ryan Woodworth.
Brampton managed to squeeze their first goal passed Caledon goalie Ryan Woodworth in the first period. The Lightning fought back, and just six seconds later their first goal was scored by Kristian Balinov, assisted by Patrick Bourne.

Brampton scored their second goal toward the end of the second period bringing the score to 2-1.

This fast-paced game saw many shots on net and great team effort. Caledon was shorthanded and AP Aris Morihovitas joined the game, showing heart and effort in the back-checking department.

The third period opened with renewed energy, and a breakaway goal by Balinov, assisted by Luke McAree and Michael Sheridan. Minutes later, McAree scored, assisted by Charlie Hird and Bourne. The barrage of shots on net continued and McAree scored again, this time assisted by Kyle Milik, closing the game at 4-3.

"Squeaky," was the comment coach Mike Sheridan had after the game.
