Last chamber concert of season coming

Winter weather prompted organizers to delay the performance a day, but the latest in the series of Caledon Chamber Concerts went ahead with a large and enthused crowd. They were entertained by the Kirby String Quartet, consisting of Julia Wedman, violin, Aisslinn Nosky, violin, Carina Reeves, cello, and Max Mandel, viola.
Caledon Chamber Concerts presents the final concert of this season April 5.

The concert will feature the Cecilia String Quartet.

The quartet, which takes its name from St. Cecilia, the patron saint of music, was founded in 2004 by four young musicians from the University of Toronto music program. Since then, these talented young women have garnered several awards and have won high praises for their performances. They recently toured Ontario, Quebec, and British Columbia with Jeunesses Musicales Canada on their Desjardin Concert Series and will be featured on Music Toronto's Discovery Series for three seasons.

The Cecilia String Quartet temporarily relocated to San Diego, California where they are completing the Joseph Fisch and Axelrod String Quartet Residency at San Diego State University.

The quartet will play works by Haydn, Beethoven, and Schumann. The concert takes place at 8 p.m. at St. James Anglican Church in Caledon East. Tickets are $30 and are available at the door.
