Tilson talks to students at Macville

Julie French, a Grade 5 student at Macville Public School, thanked Dufferin - Caledon MP David Tilson for visiting the school.

Dufferin - Caledon MP David Tilson was recently asked to speak to Grade 5 students at Macville Public School.

His talk dealt with his roles and responsibilities as a Member of Parliament in the government caucus. The youngsters have been studying Canadian government and politics over the last month.

Following his presentation, Tilson fielded questions from the students on the most interesting and least interesting aspects of his role, House of Commons traditions and procedures, his reasons for entering public service, and his life in politics.

Tilson was quoted as saying, "my experience as a Member of Parliament has been extremely rewarding and I'm very honoured and proud to be serving all of you and your families."
