Showcase Caledon will promote economic growth in the town

If you are part of the ICI community, you need to know why Caledon is the natural course of business.

The Town of Caledon's Economic Development and Communications Department (ED&C) will hold Showcase Caledon 2008 April 8.

This is to be a lunchtime networking and trade show event, geared toward industrial, commercial and investment (ICI) brokers and developers.

As one of the GTA's hottest markets, Showcase Caledon will assist the ICI community in profiling new business real estate and development opportunities in Caledon. Sponsors and trade show participants to date include Panattoni Development Corporation, Prologis, Hopewell Development Corporation, Giffels, AMB Property Corporation, and Solmar Development Corporation. In addition, realtors in attendance are eligible to receive one CEU credit from the Brampton Real Estate Board.

ED&C staff are honoured to welcome Larry Smith as keynote speaker. He is one of the most popular (and legendary) professors at the University of Waterloo (UW). Here's what some of his his students have to say about him:

In addition to his UW role as adjunct associate professor of Economics, Smith is also president of Essential Economics Corporation, an economic consulting practice that serves a wide range of public and private clients. The firm specializes in forecasting and in the economics of innovation and development.

Showcase Caledon 2008 will be at Caesar's Event Centre in Bolton from 12:30 until 3:30 p.m.
