Several items stolen from garage

Caledon OPP officers responded to 35 motor vehicle collisions during this seven day period ending Monday.

Alcohol and driving

A traffic complaint led to a vehicle being stopped by police on Airport Road near Hunts Mill Drive March 7. The driver, a 52-year-old man from Caledon, was arrested and charged with impaired driving, driving a motor vehicle with more than 80 mgs. of alcohol in 100 mls. of blood and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.

A vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation on King Street near James Street in Bolton March 7, and that resulted in the arrest of the driver. The 25-year-old man from Caledon was charged with impaired driving, driving a motor vehicle with more than 80 mgs. of alcohol in 100 mls. of blood and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.

A 42-year-old man from Caledon has been charged with having impaired care and control of a motor vehicle, having care and control of a motor vehicle with more than 80 mgs. of alcohol in 100 mls. of blood, resisting arrest and having care and control of a motor vehicle with liquor readily available. Police said he was found in his vehicle on Valleywood Boulevard near Highway 10 March 9.

Break and enter

A garage of a Shaws Creek Road residence was entered during the night of March 3. The owner has reported several items missing, including garden tools, golf clubs, hand tools and a set of tires with rims.

A business located in a plaza on Allan Drive in Bolton was broken into March 5 during the night. A door to the business had been kicked in. The office of business had been entered and ransacked.
