Jumpstart Easter Bunny pictures this weekend at Canadian Tire

Though Easter celebrations are early this year, don't let the snow stop you from hopping over to Canadian Tire to meet the Easter Bunny.

Bring the kids to meet the Easter Bunny this Saturday and Sunday, and for only $12, they can have their picture taken and displayed in a lovely Easter Frame Folder.

All monies raised will be going in support of JumpStart, a Canadian Tire Foundation communitybased program that helps kids in financial need participate in organized sport and recreation, such as soccer, hockey, swimming and more.

The Caledon chapter, based out of the Bolton Canadian Tire, is one of the most active of the 270 that participate in this program across the nation and since JumpStart began in February 2005, Canadian Tire has helped more than 100,000 Canadian kids get active.

Locally, it's tough being a family with financial difficulties, and it's easy to think there aren't many kids in the area needing such assistance. The Caledon Chapter needs to raise $24,000 per year in order to never say "no" to a kid who asks for assistance. So far, they've never turned anyone away because of lack of funding. That is why they've created several new events that will become annual traditions for families as they help out other families.

Santa Claus pictures in December raised $2,200 and organizers are hoping Easter Bunny pictures will share the same success.

So hop over to Canadian Tire this Saturday and Sunday, between noon and 4 p.m. and meet the Easter Bunny and help give a kid a sporting chance.
