Police report a trailer full of wafer bars was stolen Friday

Caledon OPP officers responded to 23 property damage and two personal injury collisions during this seven day period ending Monday.

Alcohol

and driving

The involved driver in a Feb. 26 motor vehicle collision that occurred on St. Andrews Road and Beechgrove Sideroad, a 40- year-old man from Alliston, has been charged with driving a motor vehicle with more than 80 mgs. of alcohol in 100 mgs. of blood.

A 21-year-old man from Thorndale was charged after a Feb. 27 check of a parked vehicle on Blueberry Hill Court. He has been charged with having care and control of a motor vehicle with more than 80 mgs. of alcohol in 100 mgs. of blood.

A Caledon OPP officer conducted a traffic stop on George Bolton Parkway near Highway 50 Feb. 28. The driver, a 27-year-old Caledon man, was charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and driving a motor vehicle with more than 80 mgs. of alcohol in 100 mgs. of blood.

A 54-year-old Toronto man was charged March 2 following a traffic stop on Regional Road 50 in Bolton. He has been charged with impaired driving and failure to provide a breath sample.

Following-up on a traffic complaint on Grapevine Road in Bolton, police charged a 49-year-old Toronto man with impaired driving and driving a motor vehicle with more than 80 mgs. of alcohol in 100 mgs. of blood March 2.

Break and enter

A home under construction on Oak Knoll Drive in Cedar Mills was entered during the night of Feb. 29. Several thousand dollars worth of appliances were reported stolen.

Drugs

A driver has been charged following a RIDE spot check Feb. 29 on Station Road and Ellwood Drive in Bolton. The 44- year-old caledon man has been charged with possession of a controlled substance (marijuana).

Stolen vehicles

During the daytime hours of Feb. 28, a snowmobile was stolen from a King Street property. The snowmobile, along with the key, had been left parked beside the residence. Tracks in the snow show it was driven away.

A tractor-trailer unit was stolen Feb. 29 from a parking facility on Mayfield Road during the night. The trailer had a full load of wafer bars on board.

Theft

A plow was stolen from a Main Street property in Alton Feb. 29. The plow was not attached to a vehicle at the time of the theft and was left stored beside a barn.

Two car stereos were stolen from two separate vehicles parked in the arena parking lot on Regional Road 50 in Bolton March 2. The theft of both stereos is believed to have occurred during a two hour time period during the evening hours.

Other criminal charges

A 22-year-old Dundalk woman has been charged with public mischief and possession of drug (schedule III) after falsely reporting a theft and car jacking at the corner of Mayfield Road and Airport Road Feb. 28. Caledon OPP officers and assisting officers from Peel Regional Police responded to the initial call. The investigation on scene revealed that the woman drove a vehicle into a snow bank and then called police reporting that she had been a victim of an attempted abduction.
