Next Chamber concert this Saturday

The Caledon Chamber Concerts presents the Kirby String Quartet in concert this Saturday (March 8) at 8 p.m.

The concert will take place at St. James' Anglican Church, on Old Church Road in Caledon East.

The Kirby String Quartet draws inspiration from the legendary comic book artist, Jack Kirby. Kirby's ground-breaking and dramatic style created The Fantastic Four, and this quartet of strings aims to cultivate the same energy and passion in their performance of music.

The members of the quartet joined forces after knowing each other for more than a decade. They have been enriched by their collaborations with musicians such as Yo-Yo Ma, Anton Kuerti and the St. Lawrence Quartet.

The quartet tours the West Coast annually and have received enormous support from schools, such as the Victoria Conservatory and the Naninaimo Conservatory.

The Kirby String Quartet is currently the Quartet-in-Residence at Christ Church Deer Park in Toronto.

Tickets are $30 and can be reserved in advance by calling (905) 880-2445.
