Open house on review of Peel's Official Plan

Peel Region will host an open house in Caledon to give residents an opportunity to get involved in the Region' Official Plan review process.

Since the last review of the Official Plan, which started in 2002, the provincial government has released three documents that the Official Plan must conform to: The Growth Plan for the Greater Golden Horseshoe in 2006; the Greenbelt Plan in 2005; and Provincial Policy Statement in 2005.

As part of the review process, the Region encourages residents to share their thoughts and ideas on a variety of topics, that include transportation, energy, agriculture, growth management, housing, sustainability and the environment.

The open house will be at the Caledon Community Complex March 6, from 7 until 9 p.m. The complex is at 6215 Old Church Rd. in Caledon East
