Mail delivery situation 'just pathetic'

Canada Post is spending $500 million over five years to determine is rural mailboxes are safe.

Are they serious?

Canada post is going overboard with safety issues. Many homes and businesses in Caledon did not receive their mail recently when we had a snow fall. The reason for this, as I was told by an employee of Canada Post, is they were told not to deliver the mail if they fear the weather is a risk to their safety. What ever happened to "neither sleet, nor snow?" I can't believe how wimpy some postal employees have become. Please step aside and let someone else "risk their lives."

Talk to a police officer or firefighter (volunteer or fulltime) about risking their lives. Don't forget our members of the armed forces overseas. This situation reminds me of Newman from Seinfeld, who didn't deliver the mail if it was raining, which was ironic.

This situation, however, is just pathetic.
