STEEL BAND TO PERFORM AT BOLTON UNITED
Back by popular demand, and to celebrate Black History Month, the West Humber Collegiate Institute (WHCI) Steel Band will play at Bolton United Church this Sunday, (Feb. 24) at the regular service, commencing at 9:45 a.m. This year's show will feature vocalists and a selection of gospel, classical, reggae and pop music. Come and enjoy the wonderful talents of these enthusiastic students and their exceptional director, Joe Cullen, a resident of Bolton. Everyone is welcome. A luncheon will follow the service. WHCI has Canada's largest steel band credit course and the band plays 30 to 45 shows per school year. The band has two CDs also featuring WHCI's Motown band as well. They have performd at Roy Thompson Hall, Toronto Centre for the Arts and Hamilton Place. This year, the groups travel to New York City to perform. For more information, go to www.whcimusic.com
