Home under construction robbed in Caledon last week

Traffic

Caledon OPP officers responded to 51 property damage and eight personal injury collisions during the seven day period ending Monday.

Alcohol and driving

Police report a traffic complaint was received regarding a northbound vehicle on Regional Road 50 nearing Mayfield Road Jan. 30. This led to a Caledon OPP officer stopping the vehicle at Queensgate Boulevard. A 61-year-old man from Brampton was charged with impaired driving, driving with more than the legal limit of alcohol in his system and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.

Break and enter During the night hours of Jan. 31, a home under construction on Bifolchi Place in Caledon was broken into. Culprit(s) entered by forcing open a door. Appliances, TV and tools have been reported stolen.

Drugs

A vehicle stop on Mayfield Road near Highway 410 resulted in a charge being laid against one of the passengers. A 43-yearold man from Mississauga has been charged with possession of a controlled substance.

A 40-year-old Caledon man was charged with possession of a controlled substance (cocaine) Jan. 31 after police responded to a traffic complaint on Highway 9, near Highway 10.

A Feb. 3 traffic stop on James Street at King Street in Bolton resulted in a charge for 29-year-old Caledon woman. She has been charged with possession of a controlled substance (marihuana).

Mischief

A group of youths were seen running from a school on Ellwood Drive in Bolton Jan. 28, according to Caledon OPP. This was immediately after a meter cover was thrown through a classroom window, shattering two window panes.

Stolen

recovered vehicles

A truck reported stolen from York Region was located abandoned on Nixon Road near McEwan Drive in Bolton Feb. 1, according to Caledon OPP. The steering column had been damaged and the ignition had been punched. There was no visible damage to the exterior of the vehicle, however it is believed that a snow plow was removed from the front of the vehicle.

Theft Police report welding cable and electrical cable were stolen from a business on Airport Road north of Mayfield Road Jan. 28. The theft occurred at some point over the weekend.

A cash box was stolen from the front of a truck Jan. 30 while the driver was making a delivery at a Queen Street business.

A laptop has been reported stolen from a vehicle parked in a driveway on Bambi Trail in Bolton Feb. 1. The laptop had been left in the vehicle overnight.

An unlocked garage on Coolihans Side Road was entered Feb. 1. Two chain saws, a gas can of fuel and a car stereo were stolen.
