Water sampling stations installed in Caledon

Peel Region has recently installed 21 drinking water sampling stations throughout Caledon to enhance the drinking water quality monitoring program and improve customer service.

Committed to providing residents with excellent drinking water, the Region installed the sampling stations to improve quality assessment and monitoring methods, as Peel continues to meet new Ontario drinking water requirements.

The stations are located at selected points within the distribution system in Alton, Caledon village, Caledon East, Mono Mills, Inglewood, Cheltenham and Terra Cotta, where they will ensure the collected water samples accurately represent the drinking water supplied to residents.

Peel collects more than 60 drinking water samples each week in Caledon to meet regulatory requirements and the stations allow Peel to meet its commitments to water quality with minimal impact to customers.

When the project is complete, 31 stations will be installed throughout Caledon and additional sampling stations will be installed in future developments as needed.
