Caledon Seniors' Centre welcomes you and 2008
By Lloyd Bittle

Happy New year to all! Goodbye old, you're history. Hello new, you're a mystery!

I love a mystery. Each New Year affords us the blessing and grand opportunity to be a participant, and with our many supporters, through our decisions and actions, we solve successfully our mystery of another year of Caledon Active Senior Centre activity and enjoyment.

Our proposed expansion plans will be the long-range committee and our board of directors' major mystery concern. Your comments, suggestions, concerns are needed. Initial architectural proposals are on the wall for your consideration, and your committee welcomes your feedback. All suggestions and ideas are welcome.

"There are no 'poor' ones. Only some better than others."

Help us solve our mystery. Help us help you!

Our president, Monica Smith, brings her personal greetings to you.

"Hello dear friends and colleagues.

I would wish to all, our many volunteers, our dedicated staff, our board of directors and you, our faithful members and friends, a very happy and peaceful New Year for 2008. I would also like to invite our readers who haven't sampled our hospitality and friendship to visit us at the Caledon Senior Centre (which we call our 'social club') and sample our welcome for you. A 'big Hello' and a welcome 'cuppa' wait for you."

A bevy of new programs, aimed at our younger and more active 55-plus people, are being finalized for presentation to you. Chairman Fred Ewart and our program committee are ensuring 2008 will be the best year yet for our younger and older members. Help us help you! Your suggestions and recommendations are welcome and needed. Improvement is our middle name. Be a Caledon Active Senior Centre Booster!
