Police investigate several break-ins Break and enter A business on Mayfield Road was broke into Jan. 10 during the night hours. A front window was forced open. The culprit(s) stole assorted products of candy and baked goods. Culprit(s) entered sheds and trailers located on a Pine Avenue property in Palgrave. Pad locks were cut to gain entry and four new weed whackers were stolen. The owner reported the incident Jan. 10, and estimated that the theft had occurred sometime over the past three weeks. A construction shed near Regional Road 50 and Simona Drive was entered during the late afternoon or night time hours Jan. 12. A lock was broken to gain access. Several tools were stolen. Drugs Three males from Toronto were arrested when Caledon OPP officers and Toronto Conservation Officers attended conservation land at Castlederg Side Road and Humber Station Road Jan. 8. Police received reports of individuals trespassing on conservation land. Two of the men, were charged with possession of controlled substance - marijuana and will appear in court Feb. 11. Conservation officers will be dealing with the trespass issue. Stolen and recovered vehicles A vehicle that had been reported stolen from Peel Regional Police jurisdiction was located abandoned on Escarpment Side Road near Horseshoe Hill Road Jan. 12. The door lock had been punched, but a key was found in the ignition. Theft An unlocked vehicle, parked overnight at a Willoughby Road address, was reported entered Jan. 11. Items stolen from the vehicle include a satellite radio, GPS charger and some loose change. Secure your vehicle overnight - lock the doors or park in a locked garage. Lock it or lose it.
