Caledon Chamber Concerts presents Handel's Messiah at St. James' Anglican Church

Caledon Chamber Concerts continues its 2008- 09 season November 23 with a presentation of G.F. Handel's well known oratorio, Messiah.

The concert will feature the Georgetown Bach Chorale and Chamber Orchestra. Now in its tenth year, the Georgetown Bach Chorale is a 20-voice auditioned chamber choir that specializes in baroque repertoire. Under the direction of Ron Greidanus the choir has developed a reputation for high performance standards. Greidanus, who is also a talented harpsichord player and pianist, has studied chorale conducting under Ivars Taurins, music director and conductor of the Toronto based Tafelmusik Chamber Choir.

The concert takes place at 3 p.m. in St. James Anglican Church, Caledon East. Single tickets are $30 for adults, $15 for students 16 and under, and may be purchased at the door or in advance at Forster's Book Garden in Bolton, Howard the Butcher in Caledon East, and BookLore in Orangeville.

When the same concert was presented two years ago it was sold out; so to avoid disappointment, advance purchase of tickets is recommended.

For further information about this concert or other concerts in the series, or to inquire about season tickets call (905) 880-2445.
