Auditions coming for next Blackhorse play soon The Blackhorse Village Players will soon be holding auditions aug. 10 for its upcoming production of Neil Simon's I Ought To Be In Pictures, directed by Kate Horzempa. The play will run from Oct. 24 to Nov. 8, with full rehearsals beginning in September. The three-character comedy-drama focuses on Herb, a struggling, writer's-blocked screenwriter who abandoned his family 16 years earlier. Now daughter Libby has arrived on the West Hollywood doorstep of the father she barely remembers, convinced he can jump start the film acting career she desires. Herb's age range is somewhere in or near his 40s and Libby is in her late teens. The other character is Steffy, Herb's girlfriend, in her 30s. Auditions will be held at the Blackhorse Theatre, 17272 Mount Wolfe Rd., in Caledon August 10 by appointment; with a call-back date to be announced. No special preparations are necessary; actors will be asked to cold-read selected scenes from the script. For a copy of the script, to schedule an audition or request an audition for a different date, contact Kate Horzempa at oughttobe@hotmail.com There are also plenty of opportunities available for those who prefer to participate behind-the-scenes. No experience is necessary. People can contact Producer Vicki Draier at (416) 697-0497 or send an e-mail to oughttobe@ho
