Councillors agree MP must be at meeting on postal issues

Town council now looking at a 5.7 per cent tax increase

Caledon councillors started their budget discussions Tuesday looking at an 8.1 per cent tax increase. By the time they adjourned, it was down to 5.7 per cent. Town Treasurer Sam Jones said council is looking at deferring a payment the public works department owes to the Caledon Hydro Reserve Fund, freeing up about $586,000. More...
