CITATION FOR BRAVERY AWARDED
 | | Ontario Provincial Police Commissioner Julian Fantino (far right) presented the Commissioner's Citation for Bravery last Monday to five members of Caledon OPP for their actions April 11, 2006, at the Town Hall in Caledon East when a despondent man set himself on fire. The recipients included (l to r) Constable John Rosa, Constable James Holden, Constable Troy Brindley, Constable James Shay and Inspector Andy Karski. They successfully apprehended the man and doused the flames. |

 | | Constable Gord Van der Grinten (left) receives his Quarter Century Club pin from OPP Commissioner Julian Fantino for completing 25 years of continuous service with the Ontario government during the 2007 OPP Awards Ceremony last Monday in Caledon East. Also earning Quarter Century Club pins were Sergeant John Krug, Constable Robert Mullan and Constable Elizabeth Gravelle. Fantino also presented the Commissioner's Letter of Appreciation to constables Keon Bernier, Kevin Bucknor, Jennifer Coles, Dominique Cormier, Cynthia Garant, Greg Page, Gale Richardson and auxiliary constable Malcolm MacPherson. The Commissioner's Letter of Appreciation recognizes an employee or a member of the public who has gone beyond what a responsible individual would be expected to do in a similar circumstance, including participation and volunteerism in support of an event or project. |
