Countryside mayors to meet Friday Transportation infrastructure and funding is slated to be the major topic of discussion this Friday (Dec. 14) when the Greater Toronto Countryside Mayors Alliance holds its next meeting. The agenda includes addresses from Rob MacIsaac,chair, of the Greater Toronto Transportation Authority and Haiqing Xu, senior transportation planner with the Town of Caledon. The alliances was founded in 2004 by Mayor Marolyn Morrison in order to establish a strong voice on provincial issues including transportation, as well as gangs, guns and youth violence. The meeting will run from 10 a.m. until noon at the Halton Hills Civic Centre, at 1 Halton Hills Dr. in Georgetown. |
