Dorado Stars swim season back in full swing
The Stars made waves at both locations with top 10 finishes and personal best times. Outstanding overall results! The following are the Dorado Stars swimmers who placed top 10 at the 2007 Meridian Aqua fest in Barrie. In the girls 10 and under category Brittany Macfarlane placed first in the 100m butterfly, 3rd in the 100m freestyle and 200m IM, 4th in the 100m backstroke and 5th in the 200m freestyle. In the girls 11 and under category Bavindeep Basra placed 6th in the 100m backstroke, 8th in the 100m butterfly and 200m freestyle and 9th in the 400m freestyle. Irene Depacina finished 6th in the 100m, 200m freestyle, 9th in the 100m breaststroke and 10th in the 200m IM. Lauren Beals and Sienna McDougall finished with personal best times. In the boys 11 and 12 years of age category Stefano Gardiman had a 1stplace finish in the 200m backstroke, 2nd place finish in the 100m backstroke and 100m freestyle, 4th place finishes in the 100m butterfly, 200m IM and a 5th place finish in the 200m freestyle. Zachary Montesano finished 3rd in the 100m butterfly, 5th in the 200m IM, 6th in the 100m backstroke and 7th in the 400m freestyle. Aidan Zagar placed 4th in the 100m backstroke, 5th in the 100m breaststroke and 8th in the 100m and 400m freestyle and 9th in the 100m butterfly. Myles Zagar finished 2nd in the 200m backstroke, 100m breaststroke, and 200m IM, 4th in the 200m and 400m freestyle and 5th in the 100m backstroke. In the girls 13 and 14 years of age category Jamie Fawcett finished 5th in the 100m and 200m breaststroke. Alana Colgan placed 2nd in the 100m and 200m backstroke and 5th in the 100m, 200m and 400m freestyle. Kristina Stojadinovic finished 2nd in the 100m butterfly, 4th in the 200m breaststroke and 400m IM, 5th in the 100m backstroke, and 6th in the 200m freestyle and 7th in the 400m freestyle. Grace Wilkinson placed 2nd in the 400m freestyle, 3rd in the 200m freestyle, 6th in the 100m freestyle, 7th in the 200m backstroke and 8th in the 100m breaststroke. In the same category Kaitlyn Loder, Vanessa Bracaglia, Nathalie Gauthier and Kathleen Horgan held personal best times. In the girls 15 years of age and over category Esther Haines placed 4th in the 400m IM, 5th in the 400m freestyle, 7th in the 100m butterfly and 8th in the 200m freestyle. Jennifer Heron placed 6th in the 200m breaststroke, 7th in the 100m breaststroke, 8th in the 200m backstroke and 10th in the 400m freestyle. Finally in the girls 16 years of age category Paige Miller finished 1st in the 100m backstroke, 2nd in the 100m, 200m butterfly and 200m backstroke, 8th in the 100m freestyle and 10th in the 200m freestyle. Top 5 at the Dorado Fall Invitational: In the girls 9 and under category Julia Stojadinovic had an outstanding meet finishing 1st in all her five events. Parvir Basra finished 2nd in the 200m IM, 100m, 200m freestyle and 100m backstroke and 3rd in the 50m breaststroke. Leah Duguay finished 2nd in the 50m freestyle, 3rd in the 50m backstroke, and 5th in the 100m freestyle. Lauren Homann finished 1st in the 50m backstroke, 2nd in the 200m freestyle, 3rd in the 100m backstroke, 100m freestyle and 4th in the 200m IM. Nicole Nagy finished 1st in the 50m freestyle, 2nd in the 50m backstroke, 4th in the 100m freestyle and 5th in the 50m breaststroke and 100m backstroke. Kiara Seow finished 1st in the 100m freestyle, 3rd in the 200m IM and 4th in the 50m breaststroke, 100m backstroke and 200m freestyle. Rheanna Summers finished 5th in the 50m freestyle. Shannon Tran swam to two 2nd place finishes in the 50m breaststroke and 200m freestyle and two 5th place finishes in the 200m, IM and 200m freestyle. Ellen Zagar completed this age group with a 3rd place finish in the 50m freestyle and a 4th in the 50m backstroke. In the boys 9 and under category Connor Beals finished 1st in the 50m backstroke and 100m freestyle, 2nd in the 50m freestyle, and 3rd in the 50m breaststroke and 100m backstroke. His brother Andrew Beals followed close behind with four 2nd place finishes in the 50m breaststroke, 50m and 100m backstroke, 100m freestyle and a 3rd place finish in the 50m freestyle. Gianluca Gardiman had four 3rd place finishes in his events and a 4th place finish in the 100m backstroke. Girls 10 and 11 years of age Rebecka Gasper finished with four 1st place finishes and a 3rd place in the 100m breaststroke. Kaitlin Annu finished 3rd in the 50m backstroke and 5th in the 50m breaststroke. Kynyn Doughty completed the day with four 2nd place finishes and a 1st place finish in the 100m breaststroke. Kira Eggengoor had a 2nd place finish in the 50m backstroke and a 3rd place finish in the 50m breaststroke. Emily Hryb finished 1st overall in the 50m breaststroke. Kalee Morgan also had a 1st place finish in the 100m freestyle, 2nd place in the 50m breaststroke and 3rd place in the 200m freestyle. Manisha Sihota had a 4th place finish in the 50m breaststroke and a 5th place finish in the 50m backstroke. Rebecca Hodge had a 4th place finish in the 50m backstroke. Finally Amber Timm finished 1st in the 50m backstroke and 4th in the 200m freestyle. Nicole de St.Croix had best times in all her events. In the boys 10 and 11 years of age category Tristan Beam had three 1st place finishes in the 100m, 200m freestyle and 50m backstroke and two 2nd place finishes in the 200m IM and 100m backstroke. Bjoern- Ole Schrader had an amazing day with five 1st place finishes in all his events. Nikolay Videnov followed close behind with two 1st place finishes in the 50m and 100m breaststroke, 3rd in the 200m freestyle and 4th in the 200m IM. In the girls 12 and 13 years of age category Brittany Berical had two 2nd place finishes in the 50m breaststroke and backstroke. Abigail Duguay finished 1st in the 50m backstroke, 2nd in the 100m and 200m freestyle and 3rd place in 200m IM, 100m backstroke. Samantha Gasper finished 1st in four of her events and 2nd in the 100, breaststroke. Claudene Solis finished 2nd in the 50m freestyle, 3rd in the 50m breaststroke, 50m backstroke and 100m freestyle, and 5th in the 100m backstroke. Boys 12 and 13 years of age Joshua de St. Croix finished 1st in the 100m breaststroke, 2nd in the 100m butterfly and 200m freestyle and 3rd in the 200m IM and 100m backstroke. Tyler Macfarlane had a great meet with four 1st place finishes in the 200m IM, 100m butterfly, 100m backstroke and 200m freestyle and a 2nd place finish in the 100m breaststroke. Mason Kennedy finished 2nd in the 200m IM, 100m backstroke, 3rd in the 100m butterfly, 200m freestyle and 100m breaststroke. Finally, Christopher Caldwell finished 2nd in the 100m freestyle, 4th in the 200m IM, 100m backstroke and 200m freestyle, and 5th in the 100m breaststroke. Girls 14 years of age Pauline Skowron finished 2nd in the 50m backstroke, 3rd in the 100m freestyle, 4th in the 100m backstroke and 200m freestyle and 5th in the 200m IM. Daveena Sihota finished 2nd in the 50m freestyle, and 3rd in the 200m IM, 100m backstroke, 200m freestyle and 50m butterfly. In the 14 years of age group Zachary Duguay finished 1st in the 100m butterfly, 2nd in the 200m IM, 100m backstroke and 100m breaststroke and 3rd in the 200m freestyle. In the girls 16 years of age category Andrea Bracaglia finished 1st in the 200m IM, 100m backstroke and 50m butterfly, 2nd in the 100m butterfly and 200m freestyle. In the 16 year old boys category Taylor Reid finished 1st in the 50m and 100m backstroke, and 2nd in the 50m, 100m and 200m freestyle. Thomas Slek had an amazing meet finishing 1st in all his events. Finally in the girls 17 years of age category Kendra Colgan finished 1st in the 200m IM, 100m butterfly, and 100m and 200m freestyle and 2nd in the 50m butterfly. Ashlie McDougall finished 1st in the 50m freestyle and backstroke, 2nd in the 100m backstroke and 100m freestyle and 4th in the 200m IM.
