Cucci Hair Salon/Aspen Architectural/RBC Insurance Blackhawks split

The first game for the atom select Blackhawks against the Brampton Bombers was shaping up to be a tight battle between the 1st and 2nd place teams.
Bombers 5,
Blackhawks 2

The first period was a scoreless match until Jesse Gatt opened the scoring, assisting were Luca Dovigo and Jacob Voogel, the Bombers responded scoring two goals before Gatt again scored from Philip Iozzo and Brendan Mizzen. The game was tied at 2 heading into second period action. Battles were being lost both along the boards and in races for loose pucks and momentum definitely shifted in the Bombers' favour.

They were rewarded for their hard work as they counted two goals in the middle frame, which would be all that they would need for the win. They added another power play goal in the third to hand the Blackhawks only their second loss of the season.
Blackhawks 10,
Sharpshooters 0
What a difference a day makes! With the Bomber loss now behind them, the Blackhawks took to the ice Sunday to face the Sharpshooters. The game started out with each team playing rather cautiously.

The Blackhawks emerged up one at the end of the first period behind the steady goaltending of Matthew Campanella. The second period saw a major shift in play. Caledon scored four quick goals and the game was virtually over. Heading into the third, it was apparent the Blackhawks were in total control. Ernesto Colacito came in and finished the shutout game. The playmakers this day were Mark Anderson, Michael Arena, Mark Anthony Di Nenno, Vincent Figliomeni, Philip Iozzo, Brendan Mizzen, David Rebelo and Jacob Voogel. Jesse Gatt counted five goals on this day. Jake Mathieson could be seen all over the ice again this week, driving the net and banging in a rebound for his first of the game. Hard work and being at the right place to receive a teammates pass resulted in goals for Michael Arena, Aaron Hauck and David Rebelo as well. Riley Telfer was his usual pesky self out there and could be seen in the middle of most scrums along the boards. A much better effort by all in Sunday's win.
