Blackhawks neutralize Lightning in minor atom play The Caledon Blackhawks were all business when they faced their cross-town rivals Caledon Lightning in minor atom select play Nov. 17th at Bolton arena. The Blackhawks came out hard and fast, building on the momentum from their play the week before, never giving the Lightning the opportunity to really get started in their second meeting of the season. The Blackhawks struck first with Michael Upshall scoring from Chris Hunter, with 4 minutes left in the first period. That inspired the team further, with Zachary Infusini responding with an unassisted goal just 90 seconds later. In the second period the Blackhawks kept it going, scoring twice more before the period was five minutes old. Hunter and David Ryan provided the goals with Steve Luongo, Gavin Stone and Infusini getting the helpers. The Blackhawks continued their tight play not allowing the Lightning many chances and the period end 4-0 for the Blackhawks. For the first time this season the Blackhawks entered the final period up by 4 goals, and were not prepared to give the Lightning the opportunity to get back into the game. Aside from a brief let down, during which the Lightning scored their only goal of the game, they held their ground defensively, lead by Nelson Learn and Lucas Mizzi, for the rest of the game. The Blackhawks completed one of their strongest team games at both ends of the ice with a 4-1 victory. The coach's pick for player of the game was Zachary Infusini. The Caledon Blackhawks would like to send a special thank you to the following player sponsors: Steeles Paint & Decorating, Caledon Phoenix, Castrol Oil, Alan Nelson - Blackmont Capital, Wild Wing Bolton.
