Drug trafficking charges laid in Alton

Caledon OPP laid drug trafficking charges following a raid on an Alton home Saturday morning.

Police report that on Saturday, Nov. 24 at approximately 8:58 a.m., Caledon OPP Street Crime and Crime Unit members assisted by Caledon uniformed officers and canine, executed a drug warrant at 41 Caledon Street in Alton.

As a result of the warrant, various drugs of different quantities were seized along with cash and other offence related property.

A male and a female were arrested at the residence. Thirty-one-year-old Michael Carricato of Barrie and 40-year-old Yasmin Falzon of Caledon will both appear in court Jan. 7, 2008, charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking - Marihuana; Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking - Hash Oil; Possession of a Controlled Drug - Cocaine; Possession of a Controlled Drug - Psilocybin.
