A merry Christmas and a Happy New Year at Caledon active seniors' centre Christmas is a' commin' and Joy is in the air, Put your hat and coat with ours and with us New Year's share. Santa says you have been good so enjoy and crow like a rooster. We are entering our 13th successful year. President Monica Smith, your directors and executive, our centre manager Beverly Nurden and staff thank our many volunteers and you, our Caledon Active Centre boosters for making this year our best year yet. November was a month to remember departed family, colleagues and friends, volunteers all, great times and a year of stellar accomplishments. Our 13th year will be a year of challenge, developing our vision for expansion of our centre, finding and moving on the ways and means to achieve our first shovel of earth to start our beautiful addition to our centre. A beautiful, fitting crown to our north hill campus complex. Yes, 2008 will be a winner. Boosters all, you and we will make it so! 2008 here we come! December Highlights Monday, Dec. 3, noon delicious lunches, every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Tuesday, Dec. 4, 1 p.m. Weekly bridge and euchre. Wednesday, Dec. 5, noon December anniversary and birthday celebrations, 1 p.m. Bingo and Club Italiano. Happy Hanukkah too! All welcome. Friday, Dec. 7, 6 p.m. gala Christmas dinner and dance. Sentimental Swing Band. Santa and his helpers, gifts too. A Winter Wonderland waits. Book now, $20/member, $25/Non. Thursday, Dec. 13, special trip to see White Christmas at the Sony Centre. Delicious lunch at the Mandarin. Luxury bus leaves the centre at 10 a.m., arrives back at 6 p.m. $116/person. Book now to ensure a seat. Thursday, Dec. 13, PROBUS, 9:30 a.m. Meet & greet, 10 a.m. speaker will be Sandy Hawley spokesman for the Woodbine Racetrack, a track he knew well as Canada's foremost jockey, accompanied by Glen Crouter, spokesperson and son of Canada's Wally Crouter. Welcome to Dr. David Watkins, our incoming president. A sincere thank you to our outgoing President Claudette Dalgleish for two years of dedicated leadership.
