Caledon Miracle drive takes place Nov. 24
Staff and agents at Royal LePage RCR Realty are busy preparing for the seventh annual Caledon Miracle Food Drive.

This year's event is scheduled to go Saturday, Nov. 24.

Between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., a small army of student volunteers from Humberview, Mayfield and Robert F. Hall high schools, along with volunteer drivers from Royal LePage RCR Realty and Caledon Community Services, will be going doorto door throughout the entire town, collecting non-perishable food and new, unwrapped toys for the Caledon Santa Fund.

Once again, organizers have been fortunate enough to have local businesses help sponsor this event, such as Albion Orchards, Garden Foods, the Bolton Lion's Club and Bolton Toyota who has once again very generously offered their premises to us in the morning to help organize and register the over 300 volunteers as well as provide a hot breakfast to them before they set out!

The volunteers will be moving quickly through their assigned subdivisions in Bolton, Caledon East and Palgrave. The cooperation of everyone leaving their donations outside their doors for pick up allows volunteers the time to reach more than 10,000 homes in a three-hour time frame.

If you live outside of the pickup areas and would like to donate please call Caledon Community Services at 905-951- 2300.

Caledon Community Services has provided a "wish list" of items that they are in need of. They include lunch snacks, canned meat, canned fish, canned fruit, peanut butter, baby food, Cheez Whiz and toiletries.

"We have been truly blessed in the past with the generosity shown by the residents of the Caledon community and are hoping that once again this year, we can work together to help make a Miracle happen for those families that are less fortunate than our own. I would like to thank each and every one of you in advance and wish you all a safe and happy holiday season," said Tony Gilchrist, manager of Royal LePage RCR Realty.
