Poetry contest winners

Winners of the second annual Friends of Caledon Public Library's Adult Poetry Writing Contest were announced recently.

The winners were 1st place, Zinta Meyer, Too Short For Long Love; 2nd place, Cassandra Scavetta, Sun Maid; 3rd place, Gerald Barnes, The Seasons. Honourable mentions went to Roberta Natale and Brian Meyer.

Caledon Public Library would like to thank this year's esteemed judges Mark Pavilons, editor of the Caledon Citizen; Robert McAlpine, poet and author, and Dr. Win Mellor-Hay for the difficult task of selecting the winners from the outstanding entries.
