R.F. Hall Wolfpack football teams are in high gear this season

The Robert F. Hall Wolfpack (white uniforms) beat the Turner Fenton Trojans 19-4 in junior football action recently held during Hall's 15th anniversary celebration.
Robert F. Hall welcomed in a new year for football this fall.

Once again, Hall was split into a junior and senior program. Both teams were able to field a squad of 45 players.

In the September preseason, Hall welcomed the Senior team from St. Joseph's for an exhibition scrimmage. It was a great chance for the players to learn to play under game conditions and a lot of fun was had by members of both teams.

Hall's seniors started off well, going into the last week of the season with a 3- 1 record, good enough to challenge for top spot. Hall started with wins over Harold Brathwaite and D'Youville. October 12, Hall faced off with Mayfield for a Friday Night Lights game at Chinguacousy Park in Brampton. It was an exciting game, but unfortunately Mayfield was able to walk away with a thrilling 13-7 victory on the very last play of the game.

Hall was able to rebound with another thrilling game the following week against Bramalea, and this time it was Hall coming back with a last-minute touchdown to win the game 14-13. Led by QB Tyler Whaley, receivers Jeremy Proctor and Captain Manuel Martinez.

Hall's junior Wolfpack is in a rebuilding mode this year. The juniors have fought valiantly, but have experienced some tough losses to strong teams from St. Augustine, St. Thomas Aquinas, Mayfield and D'Youville.

Hall football is ever growing. To accommodate this growth, Hall football is trying to raise money to pay for new equipment, tools and uniforms. The first stage of the fund-raising drive will be a bus trip to Casino Rama. November 30, two buses will depart from Robert F. Hall for a trip up to Rama. Tickets can be purchased from any football player or by contacting Mr. D'Amico in the Phys. Ed. Department. Tickets are $25 and include transportation to and from Casino Rama, hours there and a buffet dinner. Organizers hope that all can come out and enjoy fun evening.
