Roth Hawks down Milton after a loss to Oakville

November 5 saw Roth Diamond Tools bantam Hawks host the Oakville Rangers in Caledon East. The first period was very entertaining with brisk end-to-end skating and superb goaltending allowing no scoring.

In the second the Hawks seemed to lose their stride and Oakville punished them with five unanswered goals. In the third the Hawks rallied back owning the shot totals but allowing the only goal en route to a 6-0 loss.

The following night the boys had fire in their eyes as the marched into Milton and took control.

In the first it was Clark Stewart to Cam Miller to Brandon Richard for the quick goal at 7:51. Fifteen seconds later it was Stewart to Miller to Richard again for a two-goal lead. Twelve seconds into the second period it was Connor Longlade Oswald to Ryan Rausch to Richard for the natural hat trick. At mid-period Stewart and Richard were the playmakers as Miller found the mesh. With less than two minutes left in the second frame Richard notched his fourth unassisted while killing a penalty.

The third featured a barrage of Hawks shots and goals. First it was Chris Scrivo from Miller. Then Alex Boughen lit the lamp assisted by Stewart and Cody Ruff. At 5:12 Oswald notched his first goal of the night from Richard and David Rothfuchs. As the time ran down Miller again found Scrivo for a Hawks goal and to add insult to injury with 33 seconds left Clark Stewart finished a five-point night with an empty-netter assisted by Boughen and Richard.

Nathan Cole was perfect stopping 20 Milton shots earning the shutout for the third time this season.
