St. Patrick marks its 100th

Staff, students and community members will gather at St. Patrick School Nov. 15 in the community of Wildfield in Brampton to celebrate the school's 100th anniversary with an evening centennial celebration. Most Reverend John A. Boissonneau, Auxiliary Bishop of Toronto, will preside over the celebration. He will bless and help unveil a mural in the library. Guests will be invited to go on a historical walk and view students' projects about life back in 1907. St. Patrick School has a proud heritage and humble beginnings. In 1907 St. Patrick School originally opened its doors as a one-room school house built with church funds. As the community grew, a new two room school house was built on the hill across from the old school (1950). This past Sept. 4, St. Patrick School opened its doors to approximately 300 students from JK-Grade 8.
