Tree lighting

The Rotary Club of Palgrave is organizing the community tree lighting to be held Saturday, Dec. 1 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Stationlands Park, corner of Regional Road 50 and Brawton Drive.

At 5:30 p.m. there will be refreshments and the tour of lights. As well, the Palgrave school choir will sing carols.

The lighting of Sarah's tree takes place at 6 p.m. Sarah's tree will be decorated with lights and will stay lit for the holiday season for all to enjoy. The tree was planted and is maintained by Palgrave Rotarians. It was donated to the community by the Thomas family in memory of Sarah Thomas and cancer victims worldwide.

From 6 to 7 p.m. people can enjoy wagon rides. Hotdogs and snowball flashlights will be offered at "old-fashioned" prices. Please bring a nonperishable food item to be donated to the Caledon Santa Fund. Rotary would like to thank the generous support of merchants, Migrations Travel and Cruise Centre, Albion Hills Auto Collision Centre and The Trend Group.
