Former Mayfield dance students join circus for cross-country tour

Kylie Furze and Tiffany Warden practise an aerial move on the static trapeze. Furze and Warden are currently on a cross-country tour with the Toronto-based circus troupe, Cirque Sublime.
Kylie Furze and Tiffany Warden, both Caledon residents and former students in the Regional Arts Dance program at Mayfield Secondary School, are on a cross-country tour with Cirque Sublime, a professional circus troupe based out of Toronto.

The current tour will take the performers as far as Victoria B.C., and a tour through the United States is being planned for the new year.

Furze graduated from Mayfield this past year and successfully auditioned for the company's new show. Warden graduated in 2003 and has been studying at the University of Toronto where she honed her gymnastics skills on the university's team. She began taking circus performance classes in the evenings but quickly moved to professional training and teaching classes herself. This will be her first tour.

For performance dates and locations, visit the company's Web site: www.cirquesublime.com. Cirque Sublime performers may also be hired for corporate functions.
